3. Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Must be an Indian Citizen and an original inhabitant of Assam.
- Employment Registration: Candidates must be registered in a District Employment Office of Assam.
- Language: Must be able to speak Assamese or other official/associate official/tribal languages of the state.
- Educational Qualification: Must hold a Degree from a recognized University.
- Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025): 21 to 38 years.
- Relaxations: SC/ST (5 years), OBC/MOBC (3 years), PwBD (10 years).
4. Examination Fee
The application includes an application fee plus a processing fee charged by CSC-SPV.

5. Stages of Examination
Stage I: Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- Paper I: General Studies I (200 Marks, 2 Hours)
- Paper II: General Studies II (200 Marks, 2 Hours) — Qualifying nature (minimum 33% required).
- Negative Marking: 1/4th of the total marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Stage II: Main Examination (Written & Interview)
- Written Exam: Consists of 6 papers of conventional essay type (250 marks each).
- Language: Answers can be written in either English or Assamese.
- Interview/Personality Test: 180 Marks. No qualifying marks, but these are added to the written score for final ranking.
6. How to Apply
- Visit the official portal: apscrecruitment.in.
- Complete the One Time Registration (OTR) if not already done.
- Upload required documents in PDF format (under 4MB).
- Required documents include: Age proof, Graduation certificates, Caste certificate (if applicable), Employment Exchange card, and a Small Family Norms declaration (Form-A).
- Pay the fee and take a printout of the submitted form.
