The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the official notification for Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test (NORCET-10), 2026 vide Notice No. 17/2026 dated 24.02.2026.
This recruitment is for Nursing Officer posts (Level-07) for AIIMS New Delhi and other participating AIIMS institutions across India.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must fulfill one of the following:
Option 1:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing
OR - Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
(Recognized by Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council) - Registered as Nurse & Midwife with State/Indian Nursing Council
Option 2:
- Diploma in General Nursing Midwifery (GNM)
- Registered Nurse & Midwife
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a 50-bedded hospital after obtaining qualification
Experience must be completed after registration with Nursing Council.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
- Age relaxation applicable as per Government rules.

Exam Pattern – NORCET 10
Stage I – NORCET Preliminary
- Duration: 90 Minutes
- 100 MCQs (100 Marks)
- 20 GK & Aptitude
- 80 Nursing Subjects
- Negative Marking: 1/3 per wrong answer
- Qualifying Nature (Not for final merit)
Qualifying Percentile:
- UR/EWS – 50 percentile
- OBC – 45 percentile
- SC/ST – 40 percentile
- PwBD – 5 percentile relaxation
Stage II – NORCET Mains
- Duration: 180 Minutes
- 160 MCQs (160 Marks)
- Case-based nursing competency questions
- Negative Marking: 1/3 per wrong answer
- Final Merit Based on Stage II Score
Examination Centres
- Conducted in major cities across India
- No request for change of exam centre will be entertained
